If you are like most americans, we are given the opportunity to access cash easily via payday loans, credit cards, credit card advance etc. etc, thus we are all tempted to use and spend what we don't have.

Take an inventory of what you spend monthly, find out which items in your list you can do without and start moving those money to a place where you can designate as emergency cash reserves.

For example:
1. You might be drinking expensive coffee every day. Can you get a cheaper coffee? or can you make it at home. If you only save $1 a day on coffee, you'll have $30 in a month easily.
2. You might be an alcohol drinker, is it possible to lower your consumption on alcohol, its not good anyways for you to drink too much, if you save another $1 a day from alcohol, you could easily save another $30 in a month.
3. You might be a smoker, is it possible to slowly cut down on your smoking, afterall its not good for you anyways to smoke that much. Just get one of those patches it's cheaper and it will slowly take you out of the addiction. Did you know that the US is now heavily taxing all your cigarrettes? if you can save $2-$3 a day that's easily $90 a month.
4. Other ideas include - instead of driving take the train, or if its near your home, bring out your old bicycle and bike to your work place, it's good exercise.

With that if you've buildup a couple of months, you will never ever need a payday loan anymore, and you'll probably find yourself with some extra cash to invest if ever that's your cup of tea.

On expanding your income

Living in the United States is such a privilege. Most of us take this for granted. There are millions of opportunities out there if we are not too timid to work and get out of the rut that we think we are in.
